What is bamboo?

Bamboo is a fast growing grass having hollow woody walled stems with ringed joints and edible shoots. It’s a renewable resource, a strong material and a viable alternative to wood and petroleum based products. Panda's need to eat between 20-40 pounds of bamboo per day, which includes different types such as arrow, black and water bamboo along with about 20 other species. Fortunately all 'The Little Green Orca's' products are made of Moso bamboo (Phyllostachys pubescens), which is a type of Bamboo Panda's don't consume.

What does biodegradable mean?

A biodegradable product can dissolve easily in the environment without destroying nature. It’s the opposite of plastic and plastic by-products such as polystyrene, which do immense harm to the environment and wildlife. If everything was biodegradable, our world would be extremely clean!

Will you be introducing more products?

How to recycle your Bamboo toothbrush?

Once your Little Green Orca Toothbrush has come to the end of it’s life, celebrate! Because it’s fully recyclable it can be broken down into a basic pulp and remade as something else. Or if you just left it outside it would return to the soil after about 6 months – amazing! So why not use it as composting and help your veggies along the way? Before disposing please remove the bristles from the head. This will make it easier to go through the recycling process. That’s why recycling is so great for our environment.
